What will you do if you were this GUY?

This might be long but please read to the end and offer advice. Good morning folks, a merry Christmas to you all. I've been thinking a lot about what I can do about the current situation I'm facing. For starters, in 2014 I was working with a popular liquor factory in sango ota as a contract staff. There, I earned guaranteed minimum wage of 18k but always boost that up to between 32k and 36k monthly with over time. I got daily meal vouchers worth #520, free transport to and fro with end of the month allocation of our products. The job was difficult but it was doable plus the promise of being staffed was present. In January of 2015, my aunt from lagos asked me to quit the job as she felt she could get me a better offer with her tenant who is into IT since I'm computer literate and very intelligent with an OND result. She believes in me that I deserve better than waste away by drinking my life away in a liquor production environment. I agreed with her and she took me to her te

The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulraheed Akanbi, has said he will not appear before a Magistrate’s Court in Osogbo, Osun State, which on Tuesday last week, issued a bench warrant for his arrest ( Read that here). The monarch also declared that he was not involved in Internet fraud, known as Yahoo Yahoo, contrary to the allegation against him in a case before the court. The Magistrate’s court, presided over by Mr. Olusola Aluko, had, on December 20, issued a bench warrant for the arrest of the traditional ruler for refusing to appear in court in a case instituted against him by the Oluwo of Iwo Oke, Oba Kadiri Adeoye. Speaking with our correspondent on Sunday, Oba Akanbi said he was not a fraudster and would not appear before Aluko, alleging that the case had been compromised. The monarch equally alleged that some monarchs, who were afraid of his rising fame, were using the traditional ruler in his domain to fabricate lies against him with the aim of destroying his rep

National Team Coaches Are Being Offered Bribe To Invite Players - Amokachi

Former Nigeria captain and star Daniel Amokachi has said the practice of local coaches being bribed to invite players onto the country’s national teams is endemic. Despite no one being found guilty of the accusation, there have long been suspicions it happens in Nigeria. “Agents always come to give money for their players to be invited to camp,” said Amokachi. “Does it have to be so?” The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has asked Amokachi to produce evidence to support his claims. The 43-year-old, who won the Africa Cup of Nations as a player in 1994, says it is time people spoke up about an issue that he says has long bedevilled the Nigerian game. “We know this thing has been going on for a while but we have to voice it,” the current manager of Finnish second tier side JS Hercules told BBC Sport. Previously, Amokachi worked as an assistant to former Super Eagles coaches Stephen Keshi (2011-15), Shaibu Amodu (2008-10) and Austin Eguavoen (2005-2007). He says that all three used to

Financially Dependent Ladies Who Talk About Marriage Lack Vision

When I see some young financially dependent ladies talking and planning excitedly to tie the knot with a man as fast as possible, I can't help but wonder if they are actually planning for the actual 'married life' or just the wedding day Financial independence in marriage, as it is required for men, is also required for women; just that the proportion of its importance could vary for both genders. It beats my imagination to know that most of us who claim to 'study' the Bible have failed to realize the fact that women are meant to be helpers in all ramifications as regards marriage and not some idle hands who enter marriage financially unprepared. I am not saying women should compete financially with men in marriage; what I am saying in essence is that women should also exhibit some level of financial independence or capacity in order to achieve a financially stable family setting in marriage! It is one very reason why I have always encourage our Nigerian mothers to

How Dasuki Paid Dokpesi N2.1bn Without A Contract — Witness

A prosecution witness in the trial of former chairman of Daar Communications and Investment Plc, Raymond Dokpesi on Tuesday claimed that he(Dokpesi) was paid without executing any contract with the Officer of the National Security Adviser (ONSA). Salisu Shuaibu, who was former Director of Finance in the ONSA, testified at an Abuja Federal High Court that the sum of N2.1 billion was transferred to Dokpesi through the Central bank of Nigeria (CBN) in four tranches of N500m each. He testified that on the four occasions, he was instructed by the then NSA, Sambo Dasuki to prepare the payment mandate for him to sign while he (Salisu) counter-signs. The document will then be forwarded to the Central Bank of Nigeria
